Hi Fernando,
Welcome to planDisney! All of us here have been planning Walt Disney World vacations for our families for a long time, and we recognize that it can be a little overwhelming. I'm happy to give you some tips to plan your visit and some ideas on who you can reach out to for professional assistance.
The first thing I recommend is taking a little time to peruse the Walt Disney World website to get an idea of what kind of vacation would fit your needs and style. I know that may sound like homework, but it really is helpful to have an idea of what kind of vacation you are looking for.
An action-packed week filled with rides and adventure from morning until evening? A few days lounging in luxury by the pool?
Park-hopping to hit all your "must-do" attractions in a day or two? A combination of parks, dining and pampering?
You can scan through the descriptions of the hotels in the
Disney Resorts Collection,
restaurants in the resorts and theme parks,
rides and attractions, and experiences in the
Enchanting Extras Collection. I also would look at any
special offers that would apply to your preferred dates.
After you've done a little research, you may feel informed enough to book and manage your reservations yourself using the
Walt Disney World website.
If that seems scary as the Haunted Mansion to you, you can give a call to the
Tickets & Hotel Reservations line, where a Disney cast member can walk you through the process.
Or you can turn to a full-service travel professional who can take your budget, priorities and needs into account and plan every aspect of your trip for you -- at no fee to you.
Friends may have a trusted travel agent they can suggest. Or I recommend searching online for "Authorized Disney Travel Planner" or "Earmarked by Disney" to find someone who is specially trained and certified in planning Disney vacations. They should be best able to put together a vacation package that is just right for you.
A travel agent can take the anxiety out of planning. They can make recommendations and reservations for every detail. That's why it's important to find someone you feel comfortable talking with about what you and your family enjoy.
I hope that helps, Fernando. Please check back with us any time as you build your vacation itinerary if you want recommendations from a guest's point of view. We're always ready to share our experiences.
Happy planning,
Wilma
