Hi, there!
Welcome to planDisney, Suzanne. We're delighted you stopped by! And I'm so happy to hear you're planning a
summertime visit to the Walt Disney World Resort. The summer months are the perfect time to enjoy the uniquely themed Disney Resort hotel pools and the you-may-get-wet attractions in the theme parks!
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is one of my family's favorites from the Disney Resorts Collection. Brimming with elegance and sophistication, a stay at this iconic Disney Resort hotel always feels luxurious. We love the newly renovated, spacious rooms and the whimsical nods to Mary Poppins. And those views of Magic Kingdom Park just can't be beat! At this time, there is a bit of construction work being done throughout Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and there's been no official word about when it will be completed. That said, I can tell you that on my family's most recent stay there, we felt that the construction had little impact on our visit. The scaffolding was a bit of an eyesore in just a few places, but by and large, we were completely unaffected. My best advice is to keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog. It's your best resource for news and updates about Disney Parks and destinations! Check the Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa page on the Walt Disney World Resort website too. Once you see that little red notification gone, that means the construction has been completed!
One of my favorite things about Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is all the
incredible dining options. Did you know that
1900 Park Fare just recently re-opened? I haven't gotten a chance to experience this newly reimagined restaurant, but I'm looking forward to visiting and dining with the delightful company of Aladdin, Princess Tiana, Mirabel, and Cinderella!
I hope this was helpful, Suzanne. Please let us know if you have any other questions about your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! We'd love to help you plan a magical stay.
