When will the construction on the castle be done? When will it be uncovered?

    Hello, Peggy,

Thanks for such a great question! Sleeping Beauty Castle is the most recognizable icon of the Disneyland Resort. Sixty years after the release of the film Sleeping Beauty, refurbishment of this beloved attraction began. I can’t wait to see the pixie-dusted surprises Imagineers are including in its refresh. Though subject to change, Sleeping Beauty Castle is anticipated to be unveiled by May 24, 2019.

In the meantime, you’ll still want to take advantage of the opportunity to snap a photo in front of the castle. A life-sized image of beautiful concept art of Sleeping Beauty Castle, created 65 years ago by Disney Legend Herb Ryman, will adorn the southern face of the castle. On the northern side, an animation still from the Sleeping Beauty film shows Prince Phillip battling Maleficent in her dragon form. Besides these amazing, limited-time photo backdrops, take a look at some other photo spots around Disneyland Resort my fellow Disney Parks Moms Panelists and I recommend.

Please come back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with any additional questions you may have, Peggy. Have a magical time!
