Hi Tara!
Thanks for GIFTing us a great question! I will be glad to help you spend those Disney gift cards towards a Disney cruise reservation. It’s a great idea to consolidate all those accumulated Disney gift cards onto one or two cards. Besides, having countless gift cards to apply to your reservation would take a lot of time.
This is where the
Disney Gift Card website comes to the rescue. Here, Guests can totally
combine their gift cards together onto one card (up to $1000). Since you have gift cards totaling $ 1500, you can establish one gift card as your "primary card" and then add the remaining $ 500 to another gift card. Hey, two cards are way easier to put towards your cruise payments than 20 or more!
You’ll create an account on the Disney Gift Card website first and then be able to manage multiple cards on the account, merging the balances. You will need the 16-digit account number and 8-digit Security Code from each card to add to your account. The directions say that you’ll choose the card you wish to transfer the other cards to, select “Add Funds from Another Card” and then follow the instructions.
To then use those primary gift cards for your Disney Cruise Line reservation, the Disney Gift Card website recommends calling 1-866-784-1628 or going online at
Disney Cruise Line. Be sure to keep the two main gift cards because any unused funds can be placed back on the cards at the end of your sailing. This typically doesn’t happen to me because I tend to go overboard in spending my Disney dollars, but just wanted you to know just in case you don’t spend everything on the cards.
Tara, planDisney is happy to help with any additional cruise planning questions. WISHing you a magical sailing!
SEA ya real soon!
