We consist of 2 adults and 5 children; aged 13, 10, 5, 3 and 2 yrs old. The 3 youngest are foster children. We are trying to look into room availability but because of our party size we are being told their is no availability.

    Hi, Rachel!

Welcome to planDisney. I’m so happy to hear you want to plan a magical trip for your big family! There’s something for kids of all ages to enjoy at the Disneyland Resort, so I think it’s the perfect place to vacation with your crew.

You’re probably having a hard time finding accommodations because most standard hotel rooms only sleep up 4 to 5 people. However, you can request connecting rooms at all three Disneyland Resort Hotels, subject to availability. Another option to guarantee you all share the same space would be to book a 1- or 2-bedroom suite, which can be booked at all three on-property hotels. The largest 3-bedroom suite can even sleep up to 14 people, and they all have a main parlor with seating that includes a couch, arm chairs and a dining table and chairs.

Photos of all the room types can be viewed at Disneyland.com to help you get a feel for the layout of each space and the magical details in the decor! I should also mention that the nearby Good Neighbor Hotels can be a more economical option for large families who want to stay close to the magic at a Disney-approved hotel while sticking to a budget. There is a good selection of properties offering suites and adjoining rooms that could accommodate your large family.

I hope this information helps. Have a wonderful vacation with your family, Rachel, and please ask us any other questions you might have as your pixie-dusted planning continues!

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
