We are considering the the Disney dining plan, but I'm concerned about giving the kids a lunch dessert, and a dinner dessert. Is it possible to substitute a salad for dessert at lunch, if the price is less or equal to the dessert? Thanks!

    Hello Dwayne,

Our family loves the Disney Dining Plan (DDP), With the DDP, you are able to order an entree, dessert and non-alcoholic beverage for each table and quick service meal. Unfortunately, there are no substitutions allowed.

What we have found is that for our daughter, we've talked her out of ordering chocolate cake at every meal. Sometimes she will grab a cookie - the lesser of two evils - or a fruit cup. And when she is insistent on having cake, we'll take the cake but bring it back to the room as a treat for after the parks. That way, we can gauge if it's something she truly wants and craves. If not, it's a midnight snack for me!

    Hope this helps!
