Considering weather, crowds & cost, would you suggest early Mar or early May for our 1st WDW trip? I saw something that said Mar is considered "peak" for resort rates while Apr-Jul are "regular"- why might that be? Family of 4, tw

Hi Michalle - I believe a major consideration may be Spring break.   I live in Florida and March through mid-April you would a continual influx of "Spring breakers" visiting Disney World.    There is no one set week for this, so you may find larger crowds due to this no matter which week you choose during that date range.

Early May also happens to be one of my favorite visiting times when I am looking for both smaller crowds and warmer weather (just like mid-November for smaller crowds and cooler, but not cold, weather).   We have visited in early May a number of times.   The benefit is that spring break is over and kids are not out of school.   Florida schools, which typically let out earlier than most other states, don't finish until around Memorial Day.    Plus the water parks, if you are into that kind of stuff, is also more enjoyable in the warmer weather.  So my vote is early May, considering weather, crowds and cost.
