Welcome back, Danny!
The fall is a great time to visit the Walt Disney World Resort. We love attending
Epcot International Food & Wine Festival so we can sample culinary delights, but our favorite fall event is
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, where you will find many Characters dressed in Halloween costumes.
Mickey's famous party is held on select nights (September 15 thru November 1, 2015) at the Magic Kingdom from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. My family loves meeting favorite Disney Pals dressed in "friendly" Halloween costumes. Since the theme is "not-so-scary", adults are asked not to wear scary masks so that little ones can join in on the fun. Some families dress in matching shirts while others dress in costumes. The events are family friendly, so even your three-year-old grandson can enjoy the event. He may enjoy Mickey's Boo-to-You Parade, as well as collecting candy at various treat stations in the park.
Although we have never seen Characters at Epcot's Character Spot dressed in Halloween attire, we have attended a few special events with Characters at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels on Halloween Night, October 31. Last year there were pumpkin decorating contests, costume parades, games and a few beloved Disney Characters ready to trick-or-treat with Guests. If you plan to visit on October 31, check with your resort concierge at check-in to see what special events may be happening during your stay.
I am sure that you will have a magical time visiting in October, and hope you can take advantage of some of the events taking place. Please let me know if you have further questions. I'm happy to help!
Have a magical day!
Missy
