We are considering visiting WDW in Feb 2018. It will be 2 adults and 1 child. We are trying to find a least busy time. What do you think about Feb? Positives and negatives...

    Hi Brooke,

Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. We on the panel love helping guests to plan magical vacations!

The first time I took my daughter to Walt Disney World was during a February, so I have a soft spot in my heart for Walt Disney World in February. You are correct, February tends to see lower crowds at Walt Disney World, in large part because most children do not have long breaks during February. The exception is Presidents' Day weekend, so if you are looking to go at a time with less guests, do avoid Presidents' Day weekend.

I do recall that the weather is a bit cooler in February, which could be either a pro or a con! It is of course not too cold, it is Florida after all. The average high temperature is around 74 degrees Fahrenheit in February, and I remember wearing long pants and taking a sweatshirt with me on my February trip. You can swim in the pools at Walt Disney World resort hotels as they are heated; however, it does tend to be a bit chillier when you get out!

I like to look at the special events calendar for Walt Disney World to keep up with what special events are happening month to month. This calendar does not have February 2018 up yet, so keep checking back for when it does.

Overall Brooke, yes, I enjoy a February trip to Walt Disney World. The crowd levels should be nice and the weather will be on the cool side. Please let us know if you have any further questions!
