I am considering visiting DL 12/7/14. I have experienced WDW many times and will likely visit again in 2015. Since we (no kids) only have 1 day to see DL what are the must-sees? Could both parks be done in 1 day or is it best to do 1 park (which one)?

    Hi, Ivy!

I’m happy you’re planning a visit to The Happiest Place on Earth!  Early December is a wonderful time to visit because the seasonal decorations and other holiday extras are in full swing.

If you’re able to purchase Disneyland Resort Park Hopper tickets, I recommend exploring both parks. You definitely won’t be able to see everything at each, but it would be a shame to visit the resort and not get a sampling of the best of both worlds, so to speak! It’s fast and convenient to go back and forth between the two parks, which are directly across from each other.

At Disneyland Park, it’s all about the mountains—I love Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and Splash Mountain. “Mickey and the Magical Map” is a live show that is one of my must-dos! This is a show unlike any other in the theme parks and combines innovative technology with favorite Disney characters and songs.

You’ll want to explore Cars Land and ride Radiator Springs Racers at Disney California Adventure Park! If you’re into thrill rides, you also can’t miss California Screamin’ or, my personal favorite, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. My pick for a quiet meal is Carthay Circle Restaurant. It’s on the second floor of the park’s reproduction of Carthay Circle Theatre, which was where Walt Disney’s Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs premiered, so the much of the restaurant’s décor pays homage to the film and Walt himself. Everything about this restaurant is luxurious and rich with history!  You could also take advantage of a World of Color dining package to enjoy a fantastic meal followed by a viewing of the popular nighttime spectacular from a prime, reserved viewing location.

I hope this helps, Ivy. Please ask me more questions as you continue to plan your pixie-dusted vacation!

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
