Hi We are considering visiting Disney World from 6th April next year 2025. Will all the parks be open then and are both water parks open at that time of year? Thanks Richard

Hello Richard! Welcome to planDisney! I love visiting the parks in April because the weather is usually great, and the crowds are manageable. Just be mindful of the US holidays, and you're sure to have a fantastic time!

Guess what? Walt Disney World theme parks are open 365 days a year, all four of them. You'll be able to experience Tiana's Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom, visit Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, ride Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT, and soar on a winged mountain banshee at Avatar Flight of Passage.

The only exception to the park being open is due to inclement weather, which is announced on Disney World's social media. April is not hurricane season, so you should have plenty of sunshine during your stay.

As for the water parks, currently only one is open at a time, which is Disney's Typhoon Lagoon at this moment. In the past, both parks would be open at this time of year, but now Disney alternates so that one is open while the other undergoes maintenance. There's no way to predict what will happen in April next year, so check the Park Hours page closer to your trip dates, and stay updated with news on the Disney Parks Blog, where all the news is released first-hand.

I hope this helps with your planning, Richard. Feel free to come back anytime if you have any other questions. We're always here happy and ready to help out our great friends like you.

    Cheers
    Nilson
