Considering a visit with two daughters, ages 3 & 4. Wondering which resort you would recommend, Wilderness Lodge or POR - Royal Room? Like that WL is close to Magic Kingdom and has interior hallways, but wonder if the girls would enjoy princess theme m

    Hey Jennifer!

I'm so glad you popped in to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. First of all, you can't go wrong with either of these two resort choices. Disney's Wilderness Lodge is one of my (and my children's) favorite places to stay. I love the rustic feel of the grand lobby and relaxing in the rocking chairs in front of the roaring fireplace. My children love the cool waterslide at the Silver Creek Springs Pool, and your little ones will probably enjoy the new splash area and kiddie pool right next to it. Some rooms have optional bunk beds, and that is definitely an exciting treat for my children. There are a variety of restaurants to choose from like Roaring Fork for a quick bite to eat before heading to the parks or Whispering Canyon Café for a rootin' tootin' good time for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Wilderness Lodge also has a children's activity center, the Cub's Den, where children are entertained with movies, games, and arts and crafts while parents get to enjoy a little time alone. Ultimately though, to me the best part of this resort is the close proximity to Magic Kingdom park. It's just a short boat or bus ride away, and with little ones, you'll most likely be spending more time there.

Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside is definitely one of my favorites in the moderate category. The details in the Royal Guest rooms are absolutely perfect for any little princess! I love the beautiful landscaping of the resort grounds, so a walk back to the room is always enjoyable. This resort is centrally located, so it's an easy bus ride to most all of the parks. I'm sure you'll enjoy whichever one you choose!
