I am considering a trip in the falll with a then 3 month old and a 3 year old. Am I crazy for thinking about taking a baby so young? I like the idea of the cooler weather and my daughter just seems the right age. Tips? Thoughts?

    Hi Kelly,

You won't hear it from me that taking babies to WDW is crazy, I think it's an EXCELLENT idea!  You can't get the time back with your three year old, so with a little preparation you can have a magical vacation and make some really great memories!

A few things I would suggest:
    • Shipping - Save yourself a little luggage and stress the day of travel.  Put together a box with the baby items you might need such as diapers, wipes, formula, bath supplies, pacificers etc.  Ship it to your resort labeled with your name and arrival date.  You can have bell services deliver it to your room once you arrive.  Don't forget sun hats, and I always put in a night light.
    • Carrier - Bring your stroller, but I would also suggest bringing some type of sling/carrier for the infant.  This will be a good way to keep the child close and happy, while keeping your hands free to chase the toddler.
    • Follow their cues - The beauty with children this age is that can't read the park maps..so they won't know what they see or don't see.  Don't pressure yourself or your children to see everything, simply take pleasure in the experience and enjoy the family time.
    • Locate the Baby Care Center in each of the four theme parks.  This is a wonderful place for changing diapers, feedings, warming foods/bottles and they have a selection of baby care items for purchase if you're in a pinch!
    • Come back to the Moms Panel as you think of questions - we love to hear them and want to help!

    Happy planning!
