Mom and Daughter at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort Room

    I am considering a trip to Disney World in late April with our girls ages 10 and 5 and am trying to decide between the Beach Club Resort, Yacht Club and the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Which would you recommend based on overall value, location and decor?

    Hi Kristen! The three resorts you are considering are deluxe resorts offering the amenities and conveniences one would expect from such accommodations. The differences among them are theming and location. Arrayed around Crescent Lake, Disney's Yacht Club and Disney's Beach Club are adjoining resorts located between Disney's Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios. Both resorts share an elaborate swimming complex considered by many as the absolute best in all of Walt Disney World. Disney's Yacht Club exudes elegance and grace with its nautical theme. Disney's Beach Club is whimsically embellished with beach scenes. Should you choose to stay at Disney's Beach Club, be sure to stop by Beaches and Cream Soda Shop and order the Kitchen Sink Sundae. Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is an extraordinarily themed resort located near Disney's Animal Kingdom. This resort replicates the grand safari lodges of Africa and overlooks an open game preserve. All rooms have balconies though views vary. Last summer my family of two adults and two children stayed in a Deluxe Savannah View Room on the fifth-floor of the main Lodge. We absolutely loved watching exotic animals from our balcony and many of the resort's viewing areas. This resort is a family favorite of ours.
