Hey Anna!
I'm a big fan of the
Disney Dining Plan! I've always found it to be a good value for our family, and it makes our vacations so convenient. That said, we recently faced the same dilemma you are facing: My oldest daughter turned 10 right before our last trip to
Walt Disney World Resort and officially became a Disney adult!
After careful consideration, we determined that the Disney Dining Plan still made sense for our family of five. In terms of vacation budgeting, we appreciate being able to pay for the Disney Dining Plan in advance. I enjoy the convenience of not having to think about the cost of our meals while we are on vacation; it's much easier to think in terms of dining credits, especially if your family is like mine and enjoys Character Dining experiences and Table-Service restaurants! At the end of the day, I think the decision comes down to how you like to budget for your vacation and how you intend to dine throughout your trip. No matter what you decide, you are sure to have wonderful dining experiences at Walt Disney World Resort!
Quick Tip: When we have an extra snack credit or two remaining at the end of our stay, I like to purchase Mickey Rice Krispie Treats. I have found that they freeze well, so that is usually my take-home snack of choice!
I hope this helps, Anna. Please let me know if you have any other questions about your upcoming trip!
Wishing you many magical memories,
Erin
