We are considering a trip around 1/2/14. At that time our children would be 8, 5, and about 6 weeks. I am concerned about how infant friendly the park/resorts would be and if it would be more advisable to wait for the following year when he is older?

Howdy Michelle! Congratulations you on the birth of your third child!  If this were your first, I would be inclined to suggest that you wait. I was over the top with cleaning/germs and all the cliché first time mother things that so many of us do. With my second, I was much more relaxed. With this being your third, you are a pro. It's absolutely doable and Disney does everything possible to accommodate Guests of all ages.

Obviously, you need to do what you are most comfortable with.  If you do go in January of 2012, be sure to visit the Baby Care Centers OFTEN. They are in each of the 4 theme parks. They are open during regular park hours, are complimentary to use and include a private nursing room with rocking chairs, changing room with tables and a unisex bathroom, feeding area with highchairs, kitchen with microwave and sink, small on-site shop with infant and toddler necessities for purchase and an area with a TV, books and a few toys that your 8 and 5 year olds can enjoy while you tend to your baby.

Our youngest was 9 months when he made his first trip to Walt Disney World so our experience was vastly different than yours.  We took it slow, did what we could to ensure his big sister enjoyed herself while we took care of him and we had a great time.

Before you start booking, think about yourself as well.  I had a C-Section both times I had kiddos.  I really can't remember how I felt at 6 weeks but I don't know that I would have been up to waking miles and miles around Walt Disney World while caring for a 6 week old plus an 8 and 5 year old (though I know the walking would have been good for me).

I would love it if you would share with me what you decide to do.  Thanks for your question and congratulations, once again!!  Please let me know if you need further information and have a magical day!
