Hi, Kandie!
Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your great question about tours at the
Disneyland Resort. I hope your family is looking forward to exploring the Happiest Place on Earth!
The
Walk in Walt's Disneyland Footsteps Guided Tour offers a unique, behind-the-scenes look at Disneyland Park. I experienced it with a group of friends last month and loved every moment! Guests learn what inspired Walt Disney to create Disneyland Park, his very first theme park here in California, and experience classic attractions before enjoying a yummy meal that is included in the cost of the tour. A collectible pin and a personalized button are also included, and you even get to see a part of the theme park unavailable to most Guests! I was able to tour Walt Disney’s private apartment that’s located above the Disneyland Fire Department on Main Street, U.S.A. and it was one of the most magical moments I’ve experienced in the theme parks.
The minimum required age for tour participants is three years old, so you won’t be able to bring your baby along. This tour is about three hours long and covers a lot of ground on foot, so I can see how caring for little ones while trying to focus on enjoying the tour experience would be challenging. If your party will have multiple adults, consider splitting into two groups and going on the tour at different times. Guided tours can be reserved 30 days prior to your visit by calling (714) 781-TOUR or (714) 781-8687. This tour is popular and has limited availability, so I suggest calling as soon as you can.
I hope this information helps you plan a memorable trip, Kandie! Please write back with more questions as you put the finishing touches on your vacation.
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
