    Hi! We are considering staying at Ft Wilderness Lodge for the 2016 Full Marathon. We were wondering if the buses will be taking runners from that hotel? Also, if we were to rent a golf cart could that get us closer to the main bus/transportation system?

    I hope you are looking forward to running the most magical 26.2 miles on earth! I also hope your training is off to a good start, January will be here before you know it. 

    The great news regarding resort hotel accommodations during Walt Disney World® Marathon Weekend presented by Cigna® is all resorts will be offering event transportation to all race activities. So regardless of where you stay, you can relax and let Disney do the driving to your race and to the Expo.

    If you are looking to stay at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground, the internal shuttles will be running to escort runners from their Settlement's bus stop to the front of the Campground where you will then board race transportation. So renting a golf cart isn't necessary, unless you just want to have it to get to the event transportation located at the front. 

    If you are referring to Disney's Wilderness Lodge, event transportation is located near the resort lobby. You definitely do not need a golf cart if you plan to stay here.
