Hi, Diana!
Thanks for coming to the
Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I will give you some options for your family of 5 for your upcoming vacation.
The maximum number of guests allowed in a Value Resort Room is 4. If you decide to stay at this resort, your option would be to get a second connecting room, with each room having 2 double beds. The nice part of doing this would be having a separate sleeping space for mom and dad, and 2 full bathrooms. Unfortunately, this would increase your cost going from 1 room to 2 rooms.
Another option is switching to
Disney's All-Star Music Resort, where you can book a Family Suite that has a separate bedroom, kitchenette, 2 full bathrooms, a living area, and sleeps up to 6 guests. The price is higher than 1 standard room, but you will all sleep comfortably and have plenty of space to spread out.
My final suggestion is to check the price to stay at
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside. This Moderate Resort has rooms with 2 queen beds plus a pull down bed perfect for one of your kids, easily sleeping 5 guests. This will be a bit higher in price than a Value room, but might be cheaper than 2 connecting Value rooms. Price out your options online, or call (407)934-7765 and a friendly cast member can get you pricing and give you options.
Wherever you choose to stay, I hope you and your family have a magical vacation in Walt Disney World!
Cathy
