I am considering staying at Shades of Green for my trip to DW? Can I buy a meal plan even if I don't stay in a DW resort? Thanks

Shades of Green offers a great resort value for eligible guests, Jamila.  I've stayed there a number of times myself and I love the convenience to Magic Kingdom as well as the other parks and restaurants on property.  There is a drawback, though, and that is that guests of Shades of Green are not eligible for any of Disney's dining plans.  To be eligible for one of those, you must stay in a Disney-owned and operated resort.  For some families, the cost savings of staying at Shades of Green evens out and they opt to pay out of pocket for their meals in Disney restaurants.  I'm not sure if that is the case for you, but I wish you luck in making your decision!

I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
