    I am considering staying at P.O. Riverside, Alligator Bayou. What exactly is a preferred room? Is the actual room different or is it just preferred location. Your website photos look like rooms from the other side of Riverside (i forget the name)

    Hi Lauri!

    Port Orleans Riverside is my favorite Disney Moderate Resort and my favorite section there is Alligator Bayou. I love the theming of the resort, especially the Alligator Bayou section. It also has a nice food court and a great boat service to Downtown Disney. A preferred room is simply a room that is closer to the main building and the food court. The main building houses the front desk, a store, the arcade, a Table Service restaurant, and a lounge. Walt Disney World Resort hotels can be very large and many guests prefer to be in a Preferred Room.
