Considering staying at Dolphin/Swan with sister. She only needs wheel chair for long walks(1/4 mile or more), she's fine with short distances. Do we need chair for walk to Epcot or HS? Wondering if we should rent chair for in park only.

If a quarter mile is the cut-off criteria for your sister, then I would advise you go ahead and rent a wheel chair for your entire stay.  The walk from the Dolphin or the Swan to Epcot's International Gateway entrance is shorter than the walk to Hollywood Studios, but my best guesstimate is that it is slightly more than a quarter mile in distance.  The walk to Hollywood Studios is significantly longer.  Hopefully that will help you in making your decision!

I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
