We are considering staying at the Art of Animation. How does transportation work? How much time does it take if we take the transportation from Art of Animation to the Magic Kingdom? How about the other parks? Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi Jen,

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Transportation is a snap from the Art of Animation resort. One of the things I love about this resort is that it doesn't share buses with other resorts or have an internal bus route. There's a single bus station area in front of Animation Hall in the center of the resort. Once you are on a bus, you roll directly to the theme park entrance.

I've timed the ride from Art of Animation to Magic Kingdom at 18 minutes, which can vary by a minute or two, of course, based on traffic. It's about the same distance to Animal Kingdom, less the Epcot and Hollywood Studios.

Buses run about every 20 minutes, so you should be able to reach the entrance of any park in less than 40 minutes from the time you reach the bus stop. Even though my family always has a car when we visit, we use the bus system or other Walt Disney World transportation almost exclusively while we are on property.

I hope that's helpful. Please let us know if we can answer any other questions for you as you make your plans. Enjoy!
