Considering a stay at AKL in March 2015. Previously stayed at WL and All Star Music. Is there a significant difference between the Savanna and Arusha views? If we go with AKL, any advice on room preferences for online check-in for best views?

    Hi, Kirsten!

    Welcome back!

I'm excited to hear that you're considering a stay at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge! My family recently stayed there and it was just gorgeous!

The Arusha Savanna is actually the primary Savanna at Jambo House. It's a popular location because it's located within the c-shape of the main building at the Resort. There are two other Savannas,
Sunset, to the left of the main building, and Uzima, to the right. Honestly, I feel that all 3 provide an absolutely beautiful view. You can walk around the Resort and have exquisite views of the Arusha Savanna, so I'm not sure if I'd be willing to pay the difference in price for the room to overlook that. It's such a personal preference.

As far as room preferences go, if you book a Savanna View room, you'll have a view of one of the Savannas and I think you'll be thrilled. It's pretty awesome to open your curtains and see the animals right outside of your Resort hotel room. This is one of our family's very favorite locations!

I hope this helps, Kristen! Please let us know if we can help with any other questions you have as you continue planning your Pixie Dusted vacation!
