Bright Suns, Rosio! Welcome to planDisney.
We're a Force-sensitive family, who will be visiting over May the 4th to celebrate our favorite far, far away galaxy. We're planning to ride
Hyperspace Mountain, our favorite Attraction overlay, which for a limited time transforms Space Mountain in Tomorrowland into a thrilling out-of-this-world adventure, where you'll battle Imperial vessels in your starfighter, as you zoom around space. We've also got reservations at
Savi's Workshop to build lightsabers, which is an immersive experience I'm so excited for my boys to take part in at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge.
Another great way to celebrate all things Star Wars is with fun merchandise and tasty themed treats. The Disney Parks Blog is your official news source for all things related to the parks, and they just dropped information on both! Check out this new
Star Wars Day merch coming to the parks and the Disney Store. You can purchase online before your arrival, or make shopping a part of your fun visit. We like to be dressed to impress for our visits, so I've got my eye on the Tatooine Stormtrooper Costume Pullover Hoodie for one of my boys. But we always shop around Batuu and make a stop at Star Traders, my favorite destination in the Downtown Disney District.
If you're like me and plan your dining, the Disney Eats blog has the inside scoop on
all things Star Wars when it comes to popcorn buckets, sippers, and novelties. You know some of these will go fast! Availability may be limited and isn't guaranteed. I'll be using the Force to try to secure our rechargeable Lightsaber Swizzle Sticks. What do you just have to have?
Dressing the part, while keeping to the
park rules for attire, riding our favorite space Attractions, picking up some merch, and a special experience building light sabers are going to round out our May the 4th experience. We've been lucky enough to attend
Star Wars Nite, a specially ticketed Disneyland After Dark event in the past, which features shorter queues, special Characters, activities, and entertainment, and more, and it was a blast. This year, it wasn't in the cards for us, but we'll find plenty of ways to soak up all the magic regardless.
These events are popular and often sell out. I'm sorry if you won't have a chance to attend this event this year. However, you can plan to watch for when tickets will open up for sale next year, and in the meantime, design your visit this year during the season around other Star Wars favorites. That's our plan of attack!
May the Force be with you.
