Hi Amy!
We're always happy to see a familiar friend return to planDisney. Picturesque
Shades of Green, which opened in 1973 as the Disney-owned Golf Resort, is now a Department of Defense property within
Walt Disney World Resort that caters to military personnel as well as their family and friends (that's you!)
I am especially excited to share my thoughts on Shades of Green lodging for your upcoming friends-only trip, Amy, because my friends and I stayed there twice during the past year for our ladies' getaways. Our top reasons for choosing this resort were room size, price and location. Oversized Guest rooms made it easy to establish a laughing place before, during and after busy days in the parks. Just to give you an idea, we had enough space to set up and enjoy our own breakfast buffet together each morning. Shades of Green's price point met everyone's budget and we took advantage of the 10-15 minute walk to
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort for
dining,
Walt Disney World Resort transportation and
fireworks viewing. For all these reasons and
more, I think you and your friends are smart to consider this gem of a property.
I also recommend considering an
Enchanting Extras Collection experience if you're looking for Girl Time+. No matter where your journey takes you, I just know your fab five will have a fabulous time on your Walt Disney World Resort vacation.
Stay magical,
Jennifer
