Hi Cindy,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question. I’m a huge fan and collector of the Resort Refillable Mugs – in fact, my dear friend and fellow Moms Panelist Kristen just bought me the souvenir Halloween mug at Disneyland Park yesterday and I am so thrilled! They’re just so cute and convenient.
Cindy, when you’re on a
Disney Dining Plan, each member of your party over the age of 3 will receive one of the Resort Refillable Mugs as part of the plan. The mugs can be filled at any Quick-Service beverage island at any Walt Disney World Resort hotel, and the options are typically fountain sodas (I’ve also seen lemonade and some Powerade options at some locations). You’ll also be able to fill the mug with coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. The mugs cannot be refilled in any of the theme parks, including Epcot.
On a recent visit, my husband and I loved the expanded beverage options on the 2018 Disney Dining Plans, which include artisanal milkshakes, smoothies, and, for Guests 21 and older, select alcoholic beverages. We liked being able to get a coffee or soda in the Resort Refillable Mug when dining at a Quick-Service location at our resort, and also being able to grab a smoothie, bottled drink, or even some wine to enjoy later as part of our meal entitlement. Remember that when you’re dining at Quick-Service locations in the theme parks, a beverage will be included in your meal, so you won’t go thirsty just because you can’t use the Resort Refillable Mug at those locations.
I hope that helps with your decision-making, Cindy. Please come back and see us if you have any further questions as you get ready for your Walt Disney World visit!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
