Hey Howdy Hey Stacey and welcome to planDisney!
I love talking with fellow Buckeyes about all things Disney and thank you so much for your question! Sounds like you are off to a great start in planning your trip for this summer, let's just talk through some specifics.
I would agree with you that you would make the reservation for the vacation package for the two of you first considering that you do not have tickets and need the room as well. After you book your vacation, you will need to link your reservation to your
My Disney Experience account. Once you log on, you will go to your page and with the icon on the top, click "Link Reservation" under the "Resort Hotel" heading. Plug in the information and you should then see your vacation details under your "My Plans, Reservations and Tickets" section. In this section as well, on the far right, you should see a link to "Modify Reservation". Click on that and there, you should be able to add the other two adults to your room reservation.
Depending on your room details, you might be charged an extra fee for having four adults in a room. With most reservations, you will be able to modify them before your vacation, however, with some, you would need to call to have things modified. With the information above, instead of seeing the link "Modify Reservation", you will see a phone number to call to have things modified. Either way, it should be really easy to add them to your reservation.
One tip I have for you that you might already know about is in regards to your My Disney Experience account. Sounds like you have some seasoned Walt Disney World park goers joining you so they might already have a My Disney Experience account. If you go to your "My Family & Friends" page, you can add them to your group and they will be able to share the planning process with you! This comes in handy when in the parks for things like
Mobile Ordering and making
Lightning Lane Reservations. Super easy to stay connected and share the planning experience.
Good luck with your continued planning and let us know if you have any further questions!
Happy Planning,
Nick
