I am considering purchasing the dining plan for my group of 5. I was wondering if we went to a table service meal, would I have to use 5 credits at a meal? Or could I use 3 and pay for 2, saving the credits for another meal? Thanks for your your help.

Hello and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I am so thrilled to read that you are considering purchasing the Disney Dining Plan for your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation.  Personally, I would highly recommend it.  The DDP is a great way to keep your food budget in check and save you money while on vacation.

I have some great news!  You do not need to use all your dining credits with each meal.  You are afforded the luxury of deciding when you want to use your dining credits.  Yes, you may choose to use three credits and pay the rest of your meal ticket by other means.  Simply let your Cast Member know how you would like to utilize your DDP.  I would let him/her know as soon as you are seated.

Diane's Tip of the Day:  A great way to save time in the parks is to consider character dining.  Instead of waiting in lines to visit with your favorite Disney characters, character dining has your Disney favorites coming to you.  Just make sure to have your camera and autograph book ready!

Have a great day and "SEE YOU REAL SOON!"
