considering purchasing the dessert Fireworks party at tomorrow land restaurant couple questions the first is the price and how long are you able to sit before and after the firework show? is tables reserved or first come first serve thank you

Hi Pam, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

The Happily Ever After fireworks spectacular at Magic Kingdom Park is one of my favorite things in the entire world. The show itself is just stunning, with so many magical moments that truly make the stories come alive. I think adding a fireworks dessert party is an excellent way to make it even more special.

The Fireworks Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace features a variety of sweet treats, savory bites, and delicious drinks (I like the sparkling cider, which makes it feel like a celebration). The party currently costs $84 per adult and $50 per child; this pricing is through January 31, 2020, and is subject to change. (Beginning next February, alcoholic options will be added to the menu, and the price will increase.)

As for seating, you’ll be allowed to enter the party one hour before the fireworks are scheduled to start. For example, on January 5, 2020, the Fireworks Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace begins at 7:00 p.m., and the Happily Ever After fireworks spectacular is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. As part of the registration process, you’ll be asked to check the fireworks start time on the day of the party, as sometimes the fireworks are delayed (or even cancelled) due to weather, and in that event, the party will begin one hour before the show’s current start time. I’ve attended a couple of dessert parties, and I recommend arriving right as the party begins so you have lots of time to sample everything and really get the most out of the party. Seating is first come, first served, so arriving early gives you more options for securing the fireworks view you want.

Once the fireworks end, the party is over and you’ll be asked to leave. This is because there is another party option: the Magic Kingdom After-Fireworks Dessert Party. For this option, Guests watch the fireworks from the Plaza Garden, and then head to Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant after the show to enjoy the desserts. This option does not include seating.

I hope this helps answer your questions, Pam! In my opinion, dessert parties add a special, VIP feeling to the fireworks. My Mouseketeers talk about our dessert party experience all the time – we really enjoyed ourselves, had a great view, and it was a fun extra-special treat. If you have any further questions, come back and see us – it’s such a pleasure to help fellow Guests with their Disney dreaming.

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
