I am considering planning a last minute 5 day vacation to Disney over the 4th of July weekend. We have been to Disneyworld before (in October). Do you expect the parks to be really busy and really hot or not so bad since over a holiday weekend?

Carrie, celebrating America's birthday in the most magical place in the country sounds like the perfect plan. The Fourth of July Concert in the Sky fireworks show ay Magic Kingdom is not to be missed.

Families love to visit Walt Disney World during holidays, so do expect crowds in the parks over the July 4th weekend. If you plan well, hit the parks early, and are prepared for some lines you can enjoy a fun last minute vacation. Check out the nonDisney website Touring Plans to see crowd level predictions for the dates you are planning to visit. My family has visited WDW during Independence Day week and found the atmosphere exciting. Plus the long hours the parks are open during holiday times give you extra time in the parks.

    Enjoy July 4th with Mickey!
