Considering options for getting to chef mickeys @ 7:15 from AOA. Will have own car, but thinking it might be easier to take taxi. Any idea on cost? Also, going to Epcot, and having lunch at T-Rex. Best way to get there from Epcot? Thanks!

    Hi Tabitha!

I love Walt Disney World transportation questions!  You have several great options to get from Disney's Art of Animation Resort to Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary Resort.  If you have a vehicle, then driving there directly will be your least expensive and quickest option.  You can park at the Contemporary Resort for the duration of your meal at Chef Mickey's.  You can take a taxi directly from the Art of Animation Resort to the Contemporary Resort.  A one way trip anywhere on Walt Disney World Property typically cost less than $20.00 including tip.  Another great option would be to take a Disney bus from the Art of Animation Resort to the Magic Kingdom and then take the Resort Monorail, boat, or walk to the Contemporary Resort.  This option will take more time but you don't incur any expense and you don't have to wonder how to get there because Disney does the driving for you.

The easiest way that I have found to get to Downtown Disney from Epcot is to go through the International Gateway (Epcot's backdoor located between the United Kingdom and France Pavilions) to the Beach Club Resort and then take a bus from the Beach Club Resort to Downtown Disney.  Another option would be to take a bus from Epcot to Port Orleans Resort-French Quarter and then take a boat from French Quarter to Downtown Disney.  This is a more scenic route but it will take a lot longer.

I hope that your next Walt Disney World vacation is truly magical!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
