We were in a courtyard room with a lovely view of the pool and could see the fireworks each evening.
Standing on our balcony, our room faced the side of the
Wilderness Lodge that houses the restaurants. You will want a top-floor room facing North towards the Magic Kingdom. Imagine that you are facing Bay Lake, you’ll want a room that looks toward your left (or on the left side of each building). Fifth floor rooms have balcony railings while sixth floor balconies are enclosed. This makes it difficult for young children to see.
We were only able to see the fireworks that were high in the air but it still made for a magical end to our evenings. Since the trees have grown, some firework viewing may be blocked. Woods view rooms (such as room 5032) have magical views (through the trees) of Cinderella’s Castle and the monorail passing by.
There are concierge level rooms with excellent views of the Wishes fireworks display and Cinderella‘s Castle. You’ll also see the top of the Contemporary hotel. These rooms are even numbered. Rooms 7042 and 7046 both report good views. Note that below these Magic Kingdom view rooms is a service area that can be quite noisy. You’ll have to decide if the noise and unsightliness of the service area can be overlooked for the nice view of the Magic Kingdom.
Enjoy your stay at the Wilderness Lodge. It is a beautiful resort.
