We are considering Mickey's Backyard BBQ on the evening of our "resort day". Can we take the mini van service from POP century to Mickey's Backyard BBQ? IF not, would you suggest us plan this even on a MK park day instead?

    Hi Lacie!

One of my favorite aspects of Walt Disney World Resort is all of the unique Dining options. Everything from food trucks to multi-course signature dining experiences that may be feet away from roller coasters but worlds away from only deep fried foods of yesteryear. Disney currently offers three Dinner Shows, all of which are amazing both in their performances but also in the meals that are served.

Both Mickey's Backyard BBQ as well as my personal fav, Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, are located in The Settlement area at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground. This resort is huge. So big, in fact, that it has its own internal bus loop once you get to the resort entrance. I not only support your decision to order a Minnie Van to take you from your Disney Resort Hotel to this show, I highly recommend it as they are allowed to drive you directly to the drop off area letting you completely bypass that internal bus. A one-way trip is $25 and can accommodate six passengers. Equally awesome is each car comes with two car seats, or you can bring your own if need be. These rides are booked through the Lyft app, and it usually takes anywhere from 5 to 15 minutes between the time a car is called until you're picked up. Minnie Vans will continue to pick up Disney guests until 12:30 A.M., so feel free to hang out at Disney's Fort Wilderness to enjoy Chip 'n' Dales Campfire Sing-A-Long or a catch an outdoor movie under the stars. (Pro tip: S'mores kits are available for purchase nearby or you can bring your own supplies.)

We'll See You in 2019 Lacie!
