We are considering a land and sea vacation this December/January, but our cruise goes out of Miami. What is the best way to travel from a Disney Resort to Miami if we won't have a rental car?

    Ahoy, Heather!

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I'm so excited to hear you're planning a Land and Sea vacation - my very favorite! Nothing beats combining the thrill and excitement of the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks with the elegance and relaxation of a Disney Cruise. You'll be going from Cinderella Castle to sand castles, with Disney's attention to detail and customer service along the way. It's an amazing vacation from beginning to end!

Unfortunately, Disney does not offer Ground Transportation Service to the Port of Miami, due to the travel distance. While the most affordable way to get the the port from Walt Disney World is by rental car, you most certainly have other choices available to you. Simply search the internet for "car service from Walt Disney World to Miami", and you'll find lots of options for limo, car and van companies that can provide this service. Pricing will vary between companies, so make sure to do a bit of comparison shopping before making your final decision.

If you do decide to rent a car for transportation to the port, both National and Alamo car rental services are conveniently located at the Disney Car Care Center, near Magic Kingdom Park.

I hope this helps with your planning. Have a magical day, Heather! - Diane W.
