Hello! We are considering the Halloween themed cruise in either September or October, but I am not seeing a lot of shore excursions that would be good for my 2-year old son. Which cruises/ports have the best activities for a 2 year old?

    Hi there, Desiree!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  I am so excited that you found us while resEARching a Disney Cruise Line vacation and I am happy to help answer your questions about cruising with little ones!

My family has been hitting the high seas with Captain Mickey since our boys were both under one year old and I can’t say enough great things about our experiences!  We love that so much is already included with your reservation – accommodations, food, sodas, activities, entertainment, CHARACTERS and so much more!  Plus, you will get to visit some really great destinations and only have to unpack once…and anytime you travel with children, that is a plus!

Booking excursions while at port is one of the trickier things when you have littles because as you are seeing, there are many excursions that have a minimum age requirement that the youngest Mouseketeers don’t meet.  But, from my experiences when my boys were little, a beach day is the best day!  We loved visiting Blue Lagoon in Nassau where they could play, swim, lounge and just enjoy time off the ship!  I would recommend looking for a beach day excursion because that suits all ages!  Another option if you are considering a Caribbean itinerary is the Coral World Ocean Park in St. Thomas!  My boys loved seeing the animals in their interactive exhibits and they especially loved going into the submarine to see life “under the sea”!  You will probably even spot Nemo there, too!  With little ones, I always recommend visiting Disney’s Castaway Cay.  You basically get Disney Cruise Line service – on land!  There you can swim and eat plus enjoy activities and even see your favorite characters!

I hope these recommendations help you with planning an adventure with Captain Mickey!  If you have any other questions about planning or traveling with little ones, please come back!  I can’t wait to hEAR what you book!
