    We are considering going to the Food & Wine Festival on the last day Nov 11. Just want to make sure that everything will be in full swing and not vendors running out of food due to last day.

    Wow, I hadn't noticed that the Food & Wine Festival extends through the Veteran's Day holiday on Monday, Nov. 11. Hmmmm. I have the day off. Maybe I should join you!

    My husband and I often hit the festival one last time on its final Sunday. We've never had an issue with items being sold out or with things winding down early. I checked the schedule and see that there's still a full complement of culinary demonstrations, beverage seminars and a mixology seminar on Nov. 11, just like other days of the festival.

    So I wouldn't worry, if I were you. I think you will be able to get the full experience.

    By the way, my favorite new tastes this year were the venison sausage from New Zealand; the potato and leek pancake with braised beef topping from Belgium, the crispy pork belly from Brazil; and (surprisingly) the vegetarian haggis from Scotland. We went back for seconds for the haggis!
