Howdy Kim! Thanks so much for your question!!
I feel like I need a disclosure statement, I am completely biased. I love Disney Vacation Club and find it to be a great value.
Your question should be an easy one to answer but there are several variables to consider. Regardless - if you are paying $8,000 to stay in a 2 Bedroom Disney Vacation Club Villa, I would HIGHLY recommend that you contact
Disney Vacation Club soon and discuss your options with them.
The Disney Vacation Club is based on a Vacation Point System. Based on the size of your real estate interest, you have access to over 500 Member Getaway destinations worldwide.
You will have your initial purchase and then annual dues based upon your home resort and number of points.
You Home Resort is the resort from which you make your real estate interest purchase. You can book your reservation at your Home Resort 11 months out from the day your vacation will begin. You can book at the 7 month window for the other Disney Vacation Club Resorts. Due to the popularity of many of the resorts, the 11 month window is key. You can also wait list as needed, and you can bank and borrow points to help you maximize your annual allotment.
As I mentioned, please contact
Disney Vacation Club soon. You can contact them by phone or via a live chat. They will give you all of the needed details and then let you decide if DVC is a good fit for your family.
Please let me know what you decide! I'm so excited for you!
