We are considering doing the Peter Pan Cruise in December, however I'm afraid it may be uncomfortable for the children if it's too cold out on the lake. Do you have any information on whether this may still be a fun experience in the winter?

    Hi Maddy,

Ahoy Matey! Gather all ye buccaneers for an adventure like no other on the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage!

Although any time is a good time to party like a pirate, I will say that weather would be a serious consideration for my family on this cruise in December. We are fair weather pirates who only appreciate swashbuckling adventure in warmer temperatures. I did take the liberty to check availability for a few dates in December and there was some. Since the experience starts at 7:45 p.m. and the fireworks typically start around 9:00 p.m., it could be chilly. Do double-check the time of the fireworks and the experience start time for the dates of your visit.

If your mateys opt for a different experience, try the other Pirates at Walt Disney World Resort activities. Enter the Pirates League, meet the Pirate Masters and transform. Once your pirate(s) is ready, go on A Pirate's Adventure - Treasure of the Seven Seas. Put your thinkin' hats on and ready your spirits. The fun is awaitin'!

Maddy, the weather in December can also be unpredictably warm. So, it really is hard to say whether or not you should go this far in advance. I, however, have learned that experiences at the Walt Disney World Resort are amazing. If this is your only visit for a few years, I would say bundle up and go for it. Just remember that pirate life can be tough out there, so voyages and characters may change!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
