Hi there, Taylor! Welcome to planDisney. I can see that you are hoping to visit the Happiest Place on Earth in just over a week, so let's get right to your question!
As part of the
return to the magic of the Disneyland Resort, all Guests will need both a theme park ticket in addition to a theme park reservation to enter. This system is in place to help maintain the health and safety of Guests and Cast Members as a way to manage how many people are in the park each day. While you are asked to make a
reservation at the time of purchase, I think it's easiest to think of them as two separate pieces of magic. The ticket gets you through those Main Gates while the reservation holds your spot in a particular park on a particular day. The reservation can be canceled and rebooked as needed as long as there is availability. When you purchase tickets, what you are seeing as "sold out" is actually that there are no longer theme park reservations available for that particular day. While you can purchase tickets at the gate, it is recommended that you purchase them in advance online so that you can secure a reservation as well. With Spring Break upon us, the likelihood that reservations will be available same-day is slim. That being said, grab some patience and pixie dust because I do have some suggestions for you!
Guests are always changing their plans so reservations can open up! I just opened up the
theme park reservation calendar and as of this moment, there is availability for both
Park Hopper and One Park Per Day tickets on April 14th! These may go quickly, so if by the time you log in they are no longer available, keep checking and be at the ready to purchase those tickets! I have found that people start canceling reservations in the week leading up to their date, so you are right in that window!
Taylor, I see that you are also planning a visit to a galaxy far, far away! I just returned from a visit to Batuu, and my family had a blast piloting the
Millennium Falcon, escaping the
First Order, and building some
Custom Astromech Droid Units! I have great news for you -
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is located within Disneyland Park so you will not need an additional reservation to mix in with the Resistance to fight the First Order. As long as you have a One Park Per Day ticket for Disneyland Park or a Park Hopper ticket, you will be able to access Galaxy's Edge. If you have a Park Hopper ticket and have chosen to start your day at Disney California Adventure Park, you will be able to hop to Disneyland Park after 1 p.m. to start your journey.
While you are in
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, be sure to pop into
Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo for the Cold Brew Black Caf. Trust me, it will power you through the rest of your Disney day!
Come back to see us with any more questions, Taylor!
Magic awaits!
