We are considering Disney World for our 50th anniversary. There will be 8 adults and 8 grandchildren ranging in age from 20 to 2 yrs. old. Any suggestion as to way to stay and what to arrange so everyone can have fun without being scattered all the time.

Congratulations, Laurette, on your impending 50th anniversary celebration!  That's truly inspiring!

I think I have the perfect suggestion for accommodations for your celebratory trip; stay in two two-bedroom villas at any of the Disney Vacation Club (DVC)-owned properties at Walt Disney World. Did you know that you don't have to be a DVC member to stay in one of these villas? These rooms are my favorite places to stay while vacationing in Florida!  They each have a full kitchen, private laundry facilities, and plenty of space for eight guests to spread out.  My favorites are the two-bedroom villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge and Disney's Beach Club Resort.  Choose the Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge if you want to be close to the Magic Kingdom.  Or, opt for Disney's Beach Club Villas if you want to be just a five-minute walk from Epcot.

While it would be impractical to keep all sixteen of you together for the entire length of your stay, I highly recommend that you call (407) WDW-DINE 180 days in advance of your vacation to set up a special dining experience for your whole party on your day of arrival and on the last night of your stay.  That will give everyone the chance to both anticipate the fun ahead and reflect upon your journey as it nears its conclusion.  You may also want to reserve two private boats by calling (407) WDW-PLAY so that you can all enjoy a fireworks cruise one of the evenings of your trip.

Let us know if you need any additional suggestions for your fabulous multi-generational trip!

Wishing you many more happy, healthy years of wedded bliss,
    Jill
