Considering going to Disney in 2021 the week of Memorial Day or the 2nd week of June beginning the 5th. My question is are both weeks just as busy as far as crowds are concerned? Would you recommend booking now for you our Disney Resort?

    Hi Tammy,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so happy to hear you are planning a visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth next year. I have visited the Walt Disney World Resort several times in late May and early June. I think it's a fantastic time to experience the parks and resorts. The spring and summer are warm in Florida, but it can be a little less humid than later in the summer. My family loves that the evenings are warm enough for a relaxing dip in the pool at our Resort Hotel before bedtime.

I think you will find the crowds are very similar for the week that includes Memorial Day and the first full week of June. I think with a good plan for your visit, the crowds will be manageable for either of those weeks. One thing I would consider is whether or not you would like to catch a day or two of the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival. This Festival typically runs through the end of May or the first of June. The flower, garden, and topiary displays are outstanding, and the Outdoor Kitchens have a variety of delectable foods and beverages to tempt you.

As far as when to book your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, I recommend booking as soon as your schedule and budget allow. If a Special Offer that is valid for your travel dates is released after you have booked, you can always call to see if they can apply the offer to your reservation. Likewise if you book a Room Only reservation, you can convert your reservation to a Vacation Package once packages are released for next year. We are relatively flexible about where we stay, but we do have our favorites, as I'm sure you do. I recommend booking early so you can be certain to stay at your favorite Resort Hotel.

Tammy, thank you for visiting us with your question. We'd love to help if you have any other questions before your visit!
    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Amy H.
