We are considering a Disney vacation the end of Dec 2015-early Jan 2016. We are trying to find the best resort options for our large family. There are 2 adults and 5 kids (ages 5,6,8,13, & 16). We would like to do the dining plan. Any suggestion?

    Hi Nicholas,

My sister and her husband have five children so I understand the challenge of finding accommodations that work for your family. The Walt Disney World web site has a page with information on Rooms for 5 Guests or More. The best recommendation from that page is a two-bedroom villa at one of Disney's Deluxe Villa Resorts. With a two-bedroom villa, your family would have plenty of space to stretch out. The Villas have a full kitchen, a washer and dryer, and two or three bathrooms. The Christmas-NewYear time period is a busy time at Walt Disney World so with busy parks it might be nice to have a spacious room to return to for breaks and at night! I have stayed in most of the Deluxe Villa Resorts and my favorites are Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Beach Club Villas, and Disney's Old Key West Resort

The other option is to reserve two rooms at one of the other resorts. Most of the resorts have connecting rooms but they are not typically guaranteed. If you decide to book two rooms, my favorite Value Resort is Disney's Pop Century Resort and my favorite Moderate Resort is Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter

I hope this is a good starting point for you. If I can help you further with your resort choice or with any other questions, please let me know!
