    We are considering a Disney trip in the summer of 2016. Can you tell me when any summer specials usually get announced? Also, does Disney ever off a police or public school employee discount on rooms or tickets? Thanks!

    Discounts for this past summer began showing up as early as December 29, 2014 for vacation dates at the beginning of summer. If you're looking to travel mid-June through August, I'd recommend that you look for deals in March based on what I've seen in past years. The much-anticipated "free-dining" offers start showing up in April for mid-August through the end of the year. Disney Visa Cardholders typically get a few day's jump on reservations. I recommend that you keep an eye out on the Special Offers page at www.disneyworld.com.

    I'm unaware of any discounts for police or public school employees that are offered directly from Disney. However, they provide discounted resort stays and tickets for military. The Swan & Dolphin hotel which are located on Disney property but are not operated by Disney offer discounts for teachers, nurses and the military. Visit www.swandolphin.com to learn more.
