Considering a Disney cruise spring 2011. Have 2 children - not interested in dropping them off for activities without my husband and I. Is there lots that we can do as a whole family? Children are 8 yr old girl and 10 yr old boy.

    Hi Taralynn,

I totally get where you're coming from!  When we first started cruising, I simply could not fathom leaving my child in the Oceaneer Club/Oceaneer Lab and spending time alone - it seemed to defeat the purpose of our family vacation!  I was thrilled by how understanding the staff was, and surprised by how we were encouraged to hang out and participate with them if we wanted.

Now hanging out with your children in the Oceaneer Lab isn't the only way you'll experience some family fun.  Each day there are several "Fun for the Whole Family" activities around the ship.  Some examples of activities that may be offered are:  Trivia, Bingo, Dance Parties, Movies, Karaoke, and Music Trivia just to name a few.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend a Disney Cruise for a family vacation.  For us, is it the easiest, most agreeable destination for our family to spend time together - because we know it's fun for everyone!

Hope this helps, good luck with your decision!
