    I am considering a cruise but wondered if Disney is ever able to pack lunches for special food needs for excursions. My whole family has Celiac Disease and we would like to be able to leave the ship but need to have food as safe as Disney's while out.

    Disney Cruise Line (DCL) is often touted as the family-friendliest cruise line in the world, and as a mom, I would go even a step further and say that it's friendly for families with challenges as well. Undoubtedly, you face a dilemma when trying to feed your family away from home, and I think you'll be pleased with the way the DCL Food and Beverage Team will work with you to find suitable meal solutions.

    When booking your cruise online, go to the Customize Your Cruise page and note your dietary needs and restrictions under Special Requests. In addition, you may want to talk with someone about the ability to pack lunches for shore excursions by calling 800-951-3532. On the other line, you'll find a willingness to assist you with your family's needs. I hope this helps you plan and gives you that confidence and security knowing that not only are you welcome aboard but that you're family will be taken care of on a DCL ship.
