Hiya, Panagiotis! Welcome to planDisney!
In my opinion, early February is a great time to visit
The Most Magical Place on Earth. The weather is generally quite lovely, and in my experience, crowds tend to be on the lighter side. Plus, the
EPCOT International Festival of the Arts will be underway during that time. It features a ton of great offerings, including the Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine!
To answer your question, it depends. You are correct that the Walt Disney World Resort website currently states that Guest rooms at Jambo House at
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge are undergoing refurbishment through January of 2027. Historically, refurbishments have finished early, finished on schedule, or been extended. Unfortunately, that’s as much information as we have at the moment. There’s a good chance that refurbishments will have wrapped up by the time you visit, but there’s also a chance that work could be extended.
The silver lining is that work is generally not disruptive to the Guest experience as a whole, meaning that if work wasn’t quite finished, it’s not likely to impact your experience. I speak from experience! I stayed in Jambo House in a
Savanna View room for three nights earlier this month. The resort was in the middle of refurbishments and, to be honest, I didn’t even notice!
With that in mind, I’m confident that if you book a stay at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, you’ll have a phenomenal experience. It’s one of my favorite resorts at Walt Disney World. The lobby is gorgeous, it has great dining options, and there are Savannas at the resort. In my opinion, you really can’t beat that!
Panelist tip: Zebra Domes are one of my favorite snacks, and they’re available at The Mara, which is the main quick-service restaurant at the resort. They’re small but mighty, and I highly recommend giving them a try!
I hope this answers your question! If you have any other questions as you continue to plan your magical getaway, please don’t hesitate to come back and see us here at

See you real soon!
