I am considering booking a split stay. If I do, will my son, who turns 10 during the first hotel res, still be a child for ADRs made on the second res. Our park tickets will be attached to the first res for the whole trip and I am not buying the DP. Thanks

Hi, Audra! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Thank you for stopping by with your question!

With so many wonderful options, choosing just one Walt Disney World Resort Hotel for your stay can be a challenge! Having a split stay is a great way to enjoy more of the theming and magic that staying on property can offer! And with all the added benefits of staying at one of the fantastic WDW resort Hotels, the magic can begin as soon as you arrive!

Audra, I contacted Guest Services for you to be sure I provided you with accurate information. The helpful cast member told me that because you are not adding the Dining Plan, your son’s age will be true-to-date for your reservations. So, only mark him as an adult on the reservations that fall after he turns 10.

Be sure to begin making those Advanced Dining Reservations early for your favorite restaurants. You can begin doing those as early as 180 days in advance. You can always make changes as your vacation gets closer, but locking in those popular ones is always a good idea! You can make your reservations right on your smart device with the My Disney Experience app or by calling (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463.

I hope you have a wonderful time during your magical vacation! Be sure to come back and see us again soon!
