Sarah from VA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

I am considering booking a Disney cruise. I am hoping for my girls to see as many princesses as possible. My children's favorite princesses are Belle, Ariel, Elsa, and Anna. Which ship would be the best ship to go on? Are there tickets I should book?

Ahoy there, Sarah, and welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad you sailed our way with this question!

HEAR YE, HEAR YE! Her Royal Highnesses request the honor of your appearance upon the Disney Cruise Line fleet!  A special invitation is being extended to Princesses of the Commonwealth of Virginia at their earliest convenience!

As the Princesses' Royal Schedules are ever so busy, I can't say with certainty that Belle, Ariel, Elsa, and Anna will all be in attendance on any particular sailing. However, to have the best chance of seeing as many Princesses as possible, I have a few "planDrew-approved" suggestions for you! While some require special admission and others are part of everything that's included in a Disney Cruise Line vacation, I foresee many opportunities for your own royal sightings!

The Princesses join together for some quality time during most sailings aboard the fleet at the Royal Court Royal Tea! Knights and ladies ages 3-12 - as well as their chaperones - can attend this magical experience for an additional fee, which includes a sampling of herbal teas and two courses as well as a few surprise guests.

The Princess Gathering is another favorite way to meet multiple Princesses at one time!  Appearances are dictated by each Princess' schedule, but I have personally seen Tiana, Belle, Ariel, Rapunzel, and Cinderella at this event! While they don't usually appear at the Princess Gathering, Elsa and Anna frequently have a separate appearance which also requires advanced reservations, so be sure to check the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app for location and availability for both these events!

But when it comes to appearances where you're almost certain to see specific Princesses, look no further than the Walt Disney Theatre!

Everyone's favorite "rather odd" Princess, Belle can most frequently be seen with her nose stuck in a book on the Disney Dream during performances of Disney's Beauty and the Beast! Meanwhile, Anna and Elsa can be seen gracing the stage on both the Disney Wonder and Disney Fantasy during performances of "Frozen, A Musical Spectacular," the incredible Broadway-caliber musical retelling of the Frozen story!

But for the best chance to see at least three out of the four of your children's favorites, I'd suggest exploring itineraries on the upcoming Disney Wish! Between the upcoming retelling of "The Little Mermaid" and "Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Experience," Ariel, Anna and Elsa are sure to be featured prominently on the newest ship in the fleet! With all that pageantry expected, I would anticipate other Princesses making time in their schedules for the opportunity to sail alongside their friends!

Whew, I'm out of breath just thinking about all the royal opportunities! While that may not necessarily narrow down your options, I hope that I've reassured you that whether you plan on embarking on the Disney Wish, Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy, Disney Magic, or Disney Wonder, a Disney Cruise Line vacation is one of the most incredible ways to receive an audience with your favorite characters, and the Princesses are no exception!

Thank you again for your question, Sarah! If you have any additional questions as your planning comes into focus, please drop us another line here at planDisney!

In service of Her Royal Highnesses,

    Andrew
