I was considering booking a character dining reservation at a different resort. Is it difficult to get bus transportation from one resort to another? What if we don't have the park hopper and the resort we want to eat at is associated with 1 park?

    Hi Margie,

If you are anything like me, one of the most important considerations after booking a trip to Walt Disney World is planning our dining experiences. With so many fantastic restaurants and delicious dining experiences, it is always a challenge to narrow down our list of favorites.

Marie, while there is generally no bus or shuttle service running between Walt Disney World Resort hotels (with the exception of "sister Resorts", such as Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village), in general there should always be a way to transfer between Resort hotels via transfers at any Walt Disney World Theme Park or Disney Springs.

In addition, it is also possible to transfer directly between some Walt Disney World Resort hotels using either the monorail or Disney boat transportation.

The best way to find the most direct and convenient route of travel using Disney's complimentary transportation between any two locations at Walt Disney World is to use the "Get Directions" feature on the My Disney Experience mobile app. This GPS-enabled tool will provide a complete set of directions between any two locations on Walt Disney World property, calculating your estimated arrival time based on the most convenient transportation options available at that time.

To answer your second question, if you are planning to dine at any restaurant located within a Walt Disney World Theme Park, you will need valid Theme Park tickets for admission to the Park. Do be aware that one exception to this is Rainforest Cafe at Disney's Animal Kingdom, which offers a separate entrance which does not require a Theme Park Ticket. Also, all restaurants located within Walt Disney World Resort hotels do not require theme park admission.

    Bon Appetit!
